February 12, 3800	The initial Genesis Project was a huge success. This project successfully transformed Venus' greenhouse atmosphere into a earthlike one. Venus has now become a highly desirable place to live with many resorts and lush tropical areas.
January 1, 4000	Humans have followed up on the success of the Genesis Project and have now spread throughout the solar system. Every planet is now inhabited with permanent settlements. Now humans have turned their attention to a bigger question: "Is there intelligent life besides the Human Race?" On this day The President of Terra Firma made a declaration inspiring all of mankind to answer this question by the end of the century.
January 1, 4044	Marking the 45th anniversary of the President's speech the Plutonian base does the first faster than light test of the new Pegasus engine. The jump to Alpha Centauri and back took only 1 week for a distance of 4 light years. However, the test failed due to equipment malfunctions on the return of the ship and the Pegasus was lost.
March 14, 4044	The Ranquist have noticed humans attempt at faster than light travel and are not pleased with this possible threat on their dominance in this galactic sector. Rather than developing a wait and see attitude the Ranquist decide on a pre-emptive strike on mankind. Without warning they invade the SOL star system obliterating nearly every human city, town and settlement.
May 11, 4044	With the question of being alone in the universe being finally answered, mankind is now on the brink of extinction. Humans not being deterred by the massacre now start the slow process of rebuilding the once great civilization.
July 19, 4044	The Ranquist see that the Human race has not been deterred and a second wave is deemed necessary and preparations are made for the second invasion to finish mankind off.
